Poppy & Quail is a mother-daughter venture inspired by the beautifully diverse geography and lifestyle of California.
The dream to launch our small business grew from annual summer trips to Yosemite National Park. Over the years we noticed how hard it is to find high quality souvenirs with much more than clipart for a design.
Inspired by vintage designs and bold color, our products are designed to bring a smile to your face and a touch of nostalgia to your space. From postcards and patches to bags and bandanas, our line of adventure-worthy goods has something for everyone!
ABOUT THE ARTIST
OUR STORY
Our artwork is created by the daughter half of Poppy & Quail, graphic designer Katey Horn.
While earning her BFA from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, she interned at Quiksilver in the Roxy Graphic Design Department where she fell in love with surface design. From apparel to brand identity, Katey has an extensive background working with clients in a wide variety of industries. She is most passionate about creating designs that help others succeed in their own business endeavors.
As a native Californian, her favorite pastime is being outdoors, whether it’s cross country skiing in Bear Valley, taking her dog to Santa Cruz, or hiking every summer in Yosemite National Park.
